Transportation to Airport from Marrakech City Center

Marrakesh Menara Airport

Bus is the only means of public transportation you can use to travel from the city center to the airport. You can use taxis individually or maximum 4 people. But if the stops of the buses going to the airport are close to your location, the bus can be considered as the best option. Car rental and private car are among the other alternatives that you can use to get to the airport.

Bus

The buses in the city provide an easy transportation to the airport. Bus route 19 is the only public transportation vehicle going to the airport. You can reach the airport by using these buses from various stops in the city. The busses operating every 20 - 30 minutes do not make passengers wait too long at the stops.

You don’t need to look for a ticket office to buy a ticket. You can buy your ticket in the bus. Ticket prices are 30 Dirham. The bus stop is very close to the entrance gate of the airport. You can enter into the airport without walking too long. Thanks to the buses operating from 06:15 am to 09:30 pm, you can easily get to the airport.

Taxi

Taxi is another alternative that is frequently used to provide transportation from the city center to the airport. You can get to the airport by using the taxi service in the city. If you are going to use the taxi as one person, the fare can be expensive. Taxi drivers may also demand the fare in dollars. If you know French or Arabic, you can bargain with the driver before getting on the taxi.

If you prefer using a taxi, you should be at least 3 or 4 people. In this way, you don’t have to bargain and reach the airport in a more economical way. Because the taxis provide a faster transportation service than the buses, it is possible to reach the airport in about 15 minutes with this method.

Car Rental

You can also get to the airport from the city center by renting a car. You can easily get in contact with a car rental company that will help you about this issue. You can deliver the car to the office of the company at the airport and wait for your flight comfortably.

It is possible to reach the airport from the city center by various motor vehicles and on foot. If you choose to walk from the airport to the city center the travel will last about one and half hour. If you trust yourself and want to travel around the city on foot, you can also evaluate this tiring yet different option in your transportation to the airport.

Beirut Rafic Hariri Intl. Airport

Lebanon's capital city Beirut, once called "Paris of the Middle East", is still one of the most important tourist destinations in the region. Approximately 6 million of visitors coming to Beirut, which cannot turn to its old brilliant days because of the wars it has been suffering in recent years, enter the country from the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport named after the former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri who lost his life in an assassination. Unlike many capitals or the busiest airports, official municipality buses or services are not available at this airport.

Taxi

Taxis are one of the few ways to use for the transportation to the city from the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, which is the only airport of Lebanon. Transportation to the Nejmeh Square, which is accepted as the center of the city, is about 30 thousand Lebanese pounds. That is 55 TL. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the city center by taxis located outside of the terminal building.

Car Rental

Renting a car is one of the ways to reach the city from the airport. Within the airport there are offices belonging to 7 different car rental companies. With the car you will rent from one of the car rental companies which are also well-known all around the world, you can reach the city center in about 15 minutes in a very comfortable way.

To get to the city, first of all you need to follow Hafez Al-Assad Street at the exit of the airport in the north direction. The name of this road, after a few kilometers later, will be Salim Salam and then it will change as Ahmad Mukhtar Beyhum Street. This road will lead you directly to the Nejmeh Square.

Private Services

At Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport there are also private companies that takes passengers to different points of the city. These companies, offering luxury transportation service, demand amounts higher than normal prices. The company named Lebanon, which has an office at the airport, is a leader about this transportation option.
